The Aurora Singers is a nonprofit community chorus based in Palo Alto, CA (although our choir members come from around the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond). We prepare two concert programs each year. Our December program draws from winter and holiday music of all cultures, and our Spring concert is always devoted primarily to American music of all genres — folk, spirituals, pop, classic, standards, showtunes — anything made in America! We present each program to the public as a benefit for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Palo Alto, which generously provides our rehearsal space.

A major emphasis of our mission is to bring quality, uplifting entertainment to people otherwise unable to enjoy live music. That's why we bring each concert to different venues, such as convalescent homes, senior centers, and retirement facilities.
Our director, Dawn Reyen, has worked with choirs professionally for most of her life. She also works with Schola Cantorum and the Unitarian Fellowship of Redwood City.  Our accompanist, Larry Chinn, has been playing jazz piano for 3 decades in the Bay Area. When not working in neighborhood pubs or the Monterey Jazz Festival, he accompanies choirs along with choral and eurythmy classes.

Our chorus is a nonprofit organization, and contributions cover most of our expenses. We deeply appreciate the generosity of all our donors.
